In this part of the project, I replaced all of the device indicator and back lighting lights with LEDs. I chose the “warm white” lights from the list of available colors at https://stereolamps.com/
Installing the indicator lights required the removal of the lexan difuser and lighting panel. The lights were a straightforward replacement as the supplied LEDs already had the necessary resistor soldered in place to provide the proper voltage to the LED. All indicator lights were soldered and wrapped in heat shrink. To hold the bulbs in place I decided to use a glue gun so that it would be possible to remove these lights at a later date if a replacement is needed – doubtful.. 🙂
The LEDs provide a color that is very close to the original incandescent bulbs while being just a bit brighter.
