Replacement of the main filter capacitors was a must for this one as both of the old caps were “puffed” on the tops. Although they still seemed to test fine, they were clearly puffed and probably not far from failure. I replaced the old 8000uF@50v 85° capacitors with some Nichicon 10000uF@63v 105° units. Honestly, the most difficult aspect of this swap is finding some that are close to the same diameter so that they fit the mounting brackets. As you can see in the picture I had to use some foam to get these into the brackets. These units should last a long time..
