When I bought the SX-850 back in March I really thought I would do a restore and flip it pretty quickly. Since it is now November I think it is clear that this did not happen. Why? Honestly, I really like this old beast and except for a brief sidelining to test Project SX-650 this guy has been my daily driver. Although Pioneer claims output power at 65 watts per channel, it seems to have a massive amount of power and never strains. I am sure this is due to the overbuilt power supply in this machine. I am listing it now as I really hope someone finds it to be a great Christmas gift for another vintage audio fan. I am asking $650 and I prefer local pickup as this thing weighs over 50 pounds. I live in the Houston area and you can surely come by for a full demo. See the Project SX-850 posts for the full detail of the restoration and do not hesitate to send your questions to chris@essentialaudiorestoration.com
