My fascination with vintage audio gear may be my form of a mid life crisis, but this fascination really started as a child when my dad and I used to frequent the local stereo stores in the San Jose area and later stores in northern Colorado. These are great memories and vintage audio gear accomplishes 2 things for me. First, it reminds of those times getting to hang out with my dad and second the gear reminds me that there was a time when items were built to last. It is extremely satisfying to flip these heavy switches and twist heavy aluminum knobs some 40 years after they were first manufactured.
